We are seeking a compassionate, client-oriented Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our team. We are a small-animal veterinary clinic dedicated to providing excellent care to both clients and pets. You will be the first point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and scheduling. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and enjoys helping people in a customer-facing role. A willingness to learn is essential.
Daily Responsibilities
- Check in patients, obtain accurate weights, and verify client and patient information.
- Collect and process payments.
- Answer and triage incoming phone calls, determining the type and urgency of appointments and escalating concerns appropriately to the medical team.
- Communicate clearly and calmly under pressure, gathering accurate information while helping clients feel heard and supported.
- Respond to client emails and texts, and provide timely client call-backs.
- Assist clients with questions, requests, medication refills, and appointment scheduling.
- Collaborate with the veterinarian, technicians, and fellow reception staff to keep patient care and scheduling running smoothly.
- Schedule examinations, surgeries, and procedures while maintaining an efficient schedule.
- Work compassionately and professionally with clients experiencing emotional situations.
- Follow hospital protocols and established procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming facility.
- Assist with animal handling and appointments when needed.
Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills required for managing emails, using a cloud-based phone system, and learning our practice management software.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task.
Schedule
This position follows a set schedule four days a week plus one Saturday per month. Candidates must be available to work at least one evening per week.
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
