Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Summary

Kindred Hospital Tarrant County – Fort Worth Southwest is seeking a compassionate and qualified Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support patients recovering from serious illnesses, injuries, and complex medical conditions. Working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the successful candidate will help patients improve mobility, strength, and functional independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments according to the supervising Physical Therapist's care plan.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional activities.
• Monitor patient responses and report progress or concerns to the supervising therapist.
• Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation.
• Follow patient safety, infection-control, and facility procedures.
• Communicate effectively with therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain a clean and safe therapy environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current, unrestricted Texas PTA license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Rehabilitation or acute-care experience preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
• Ability to assist patients with mobility and therapeutic exercises.

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
