Kindred Hospital Bay Area - St. Petersburg and Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) is a 95-bed hospital offering the same in-depth care you would receive in a traditional hospital, but for an extended recovery period. With 82 long-term acute care beds, we partner with your physician and offer 24-hour clinical care seven days a week so you can start your journey to wellness. Comparably, our 13-bed ARU is designed for people who have experienced the debilitating effects of an acute injury, impairment or illness. Job Summary
Under the direction of the market leader, coordinates staffing for all nursing units in the market. Verifies licenses and certifications. Serves as a liaison between the nursing offices and other hospitals in the market.
Essential Functions
- Develops and maintains the nursing departments staffing records including the cancellation list, float log, master schedule and attendance records.
- Identifies with clinical leadership the number and level of personnel required to provide patient care, initiates changes in personnel and assignments as directed.
- Reports staffing problems and unusual situations to clinical leadership in the market.
- Reports employee absences to clinical leadership.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations
- Approximate percent of time required to travel:
- Must read, write and speak fluent English.
- Must have good and regular attendance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education
- High school graduate or equivalent

Experience
- Two years’ experience as a staffing coordinator in an acute care hospital preferred.
