Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling according to breed standards and owner preferences
- Handle dogs safely and confidently using animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and safety during grooming procedures
- Assess each pet’s coat condition, skin health, and overall appearance to determine appropriate grooming treatments
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools are sanitized and equipment is in excellent working order
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming needs, special care instructions, and pet behavior observations
- Assist with pet handling during appointments, demonstrating patience and compassion to reduce stress for anxious animals
Qualifications
- Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of breed-specific cuts and styling techniques (2 years experience preferred but not required)
- Knowledge of dog handling skills to manage various temperaments safely
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with pet owners and team members

Pay
Compensation is W-2 and made up of an hourly rate, a commission, and 100% of tips paid weekly.
