Position: Dispatcher

Classification: Non-Exempt, Hourly

Reports to: Operations Director

Location: Cypress, CA (on-site)

Job Summary

Kindness General Contractors, LLC is looking for skilled and highly organized Dispatcher to join our team. In this role, you will be collaborating with project managers, the yard team, and foreman, managing and monitoring projects. You may also prepare reports, and various spread sheets. To ensure success, candidates should possess solid industry knowledge and demonstrable experience in multi-tasking. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and dispatch field employees to jobsites based on project needs, skill set, certifications, and availability.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Foremen to understand daily manpower requirements and scheduling priorities.
  • Adjust schedules throughout the day as operational needs, weather conditions, or project timelines change.
  • Monitor attendance, call-outs, and schedule changes to ensure proper jobsite coverage.
  • Utilize computerized dispatch daily.
  • Communicate detailed information to team such as time and specific locations to team members.
  • Support construction activities to ensure efficient process workflow.
  • Maintain an effective scheduling management system.
  • Develop and implement changes to increase efficiency, as needed.
  • Procure materials to support field activities i.e., order concrete, including supplier quotes, analyze for best value, verify receipt, and coordinate delivery to field teams.
  • Identify potential project schedule delays and facilitation intervention.
  • Complete union dispatch related paperwork.
  • Other duties as defined by the Operations Director.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of construction operations, equipment, and field workflows.
  • Experience coordinating multiple crews and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to timely respond to deadlines, balance workload, and take initiative.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education Qualification and Experience

  • 2-3 years of related experience
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish)
  • Industry knowledge, required
  • Experience with Assignar, a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and radio communication.
  • May occasionally need to visit jobsites or vendor locations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
