Behavioral Technician
Kindles ABA is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Therapist to join our growing team. As a Behavioral Therapist at Kindles ABA, you will play a crucial role in implementing individualized treatment plans and supporting our clients in achieving their full potential.
Job Summary:
The Behavioral Therapist will provide direct, one-on-one ABA therapy to clients with autism, implementing behavior intervention plans designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role requires a strong understanding of ABA principles, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for helping others.
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as designed and supervised by a BCBA.
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy to clients.
- Collect and record data accurately and consistently to track client progress and inform treatment decisions.
- Implement behavior change procedures, including reinforcement, prompting, and other ABA techniques.
- Teach and reinforce appropriate behaviors, social skills, and adaptive living skills.
- Collaborate effectively with BCBAs, families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure consistency in treatment strategies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of client progress, treatment sessions, and behavior data.
- Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions.
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain client confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's is certainly preferred but not required.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is required.
- Understanding and experience with Applied Behavioral Analysis is required.
- Previous experience as a BT is preferred.
- Strong understanding of ABA principles and practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping others.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
