Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our dynamic kitchen team. Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper cleaning techniques and sanitizing procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all areas meet sanitation standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and prep work
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and ensuring dining areas remain tidy
- Operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow food safety management protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure proper food handling practices
- Adhere to all kitchen health and safety standards, including manual handling procedures and sanitation regulations
Skills
- Strong understanding of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards
- Experience with dishwashing, cleaning, and basic food handling in a restaurant or food service environment
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic knife skills for assisting with prep work
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and manual handling tasks
- Excellent attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment
