The Impact You Will Make
The Supply Chain Scheduler is a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can develop and manage production schedules while aligning with APICS principles and best practices. This role requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and expertise in supply chain management.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain MRP-based production schedules, ensuring raw materials and components are available as needed.
Utilize S&OP methodologies to align production plans with demand forecasts and inventory targets.
Implement Just-in-Time (JIT) scheduling techniques to minimize lead times and reduce excess inventory.
Optimize capacity planning and resource allocation to balance workload and production efficiency.
Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, and production teams to synchronize material flow with production schedules.
Act as the key liaison between sales, operations, and logistics to ensure alignment with customer orders.
Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to streamline production processes and eliminate waste.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as schedule adherence, cycle times, and inventory turnover rates.
Identify and address production bottlenecks using APICS principles like Theory of Constraints (TOC).
Support ERP/MRP system improvements to enhance scheduling accuracy and visibility.
Analyze production data to anticipate and mitigate scheduling conflicts and supply chain disruptions.
Implement demand-driven MRP strategies to improve responsiveness to changing demand patterns.
Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate unexpected machine downtime, labor shortages, or supply chain issues.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) certification preferred.
Proven experience in production scheduling, planning, or supply chain coordination in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of MRP, JIT, Lean, TOC, and S&OP methodologies.
Proficiency in ERP/MRP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
