We’re seeking a Senior Accountant with expertise in US GAAP, especially ASC 606 revenue recognition, to join our growing accounting team. We’re seeking a Senior Accountant with expertise in US GAAP, especially ASC 606 revenue recognition, to join our growing accounting team. Responsibilities
- Analyze contracts to determine appropriate revenue treatment under ASC 606
- Manage project accounting revenue recognition models to insure correct revenue recognition
- Manage the Company’s deferred revenue and accrued revenue schedules based on current project activity
- Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations in a complete, accurate, and timely manner
- Perform additional monthly accounting tasks beyond revenue, as needed
- Assist with annual audit and provide supporting documentation
- Coordinate with multiple business partners including sales, project managers, and plant finance
- Assist with revenue forecasting including analysis and explanation of variances to actual
- Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and internal controls.
- Participate in cross-functional projects, system enhancements, and process improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, CPA or CPA eligibility preferred
- 4 years of experience in accounting, including experience with revenue models
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and specifically ASC 606
- Experience working with internal and external auditors
- Proficiency in accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics specifically is a plus)
- Advanced skills in Excel, including the ability to work with complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
- Attention to detail and highly organized
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
