This role ensures all products meet cGMP standards by following Manufacturing Orders (MOs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and plant protocols. The technician maintains strict adherence to process parameters and supports quality, safety, and production goals.

The technician maintains strict adherence to process parameters and supports quality, safety, and production goals.
Essential Duties And Role Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor converting and packaging equipment in compliance with SOPs and MOs.
- Ensure correct components and materials are used per MO requirements.
- Perform equipment changeovers, setups, and line monitoring in a timely and compliant manner.
- Verify equipment operates within approved parameters; report deviations to Supervisor and Process Engineer immediately.
- Conduct accurate line clearance and cleaning to prevent cross-contamination.
- Perform material verification and confirm raw material clearance before use.
- Follow all cleaning, safety, and EHS protocols, including Lockout/Tagout and machine guarding procedures.
- Troubleshoot routine equipment issues and escalate unresolved problems promptly.
- Maintain production schedules and minimize downtime in alignment with OEE targets.
- Keep work areas clean and report any facility or equipment damage immediately.
- Ensure product quality through in-process checks and immediate reporting of defects or non-conformances.
- Accurately document all activities and data per GDP, cGMP, and MO requirements.
- Wear required PPE when handling drug products and solvents; promote PPE compliance among peers.
- Support training of new technicians and serve as SME when needed.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, QA, and Production to resolve issues and drive improvements.
- Assist with material handling tasks, including forklift and pallet jack operation.
- Support and lead continuous improvement, safety initiatives, and team collaboration.
- Handle hazardous waste per plant procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Attend and actively participate in meetings and departmental initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Floor Lead and/or Production Supervisor.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, preferably in a regulated industry (e.g., pharmaceutical, biotech, food).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Basic computer and math skills; ability to interpret work instructions and quality specifications.
- Familiarity with GDP, GMP, and safety standards.
- Clear and effective oral and written communication
- Forklift experience preferred; ability to safely operate powered industrial trucks and assist with material movement as needed
- Available to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, or Weekends including overtime as needed
- Physically able to lift 25–65 lbs and push/pull 30–60 lbs using material handling aids.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods
