Role Description The Preschool Dance/Movement Teacher is a part-time, remote role responsible for leading engaging, age-appropriate movement and dance sessions for preschool-aged children in different locations around the area. Day-to-day tasks include delivering predesigned interactive lessons, incorporating music and creative activities that support gross motor skills, coordination, and self-expression. The teacher will adapt content to different learning styles, provide clear instructions, and maintain a positive, inclusive environment that encourages participation and confidence. Additional responsibilities may include preparing simple holiday themes, communicating with caregivers or program coordinators, tracking student progress, and following safety and child-development best practices.
Qualifications
- LOVE CHILDREN!
- Strong experience engaging toddler and preschool-aged children.
- Background in education or child development, preferably with early childhood or performing arts experience. Not a requirement.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to give clear instructions and build rapport with young learners and caregivers. Classroom management skills are key.
- Demonstrated teaching and training abilities, with experience facilitating group classes in dance, gymnastics, movement, or related fields.
- Patience, creativity, and a commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices when working with diverse children and families.
- Comfort with remote learning/training tools, including video conferencing platforms with management staff.
- A reliable internet connection and an appropriate space to demonstrate movement safely on camera.
