Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Teacher role based in Kingston, WA. The Teacher will create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment for young children, following KinderCare’s curriculum and learning standards. Daily responsibilities include planning and implementing developmentally appropriate lessons, leading group and individual activities, and supporting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. The Teacher will communicate regularly with families about children’s progress, maintain accurate classroom and attendance records, and follow all health, safety, and licensing guidelines. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues, participating in training and professional development, and contributing to a positive, team-oriented center culture.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Education and Teaching, with experience in early childhood or elementary settings.
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and curriculum implementation tailored to diverse learning needs.
- Excellent Communication skills for engaging children, collaborating with colleagues, and partnering with families.
- Experience in Training, mentoring, or supporting peers in instructional practices is a plus.
- Ability to maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment for children of all backgrounds and abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred (may be required based on state licensing).
- Meets or is willing to meet all state and local licensing requirements, including background checks and health clearances.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work full-time, on-site in Kingston, WA.
