Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and overall childhood development.
- Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to support positive social interactions and emotional regulation among students.
- Assess individual student progress through observations, standardized testing, and other evaluation methods.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and colleagues to support each child's educational and welfare needs.
- Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques when necessary to support diverse learning needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with families regarding developmental milestones.
- Foster a love of learning through engaging activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and physical activity.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, safety standards, and best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; additional certifications in special education is preferred.
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; classroom experience is essential.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, and teaching physical education.
- Experience with special education needs, early intervention programs, and standardized testing is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, staff, and community partners.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons tailored to diverse learning styles and developmental stages.
- Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities and maintain detailed student records.

Pay: $14.50 - $16.50 per hour
