Responsibilities
- Provide attentive supervision and care for infants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development in infants
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and daily experiences
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures, to ensure a secure environment
- Support children with diapering, feeding, nap routines, and other daily needs with patience and compassion
- Collaborate with team members to plan curriculum activities that align with early childhood education standards and individual child needs
- Adhere to mandated reporting laws and document developmental observations accurately for each child
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with infants or toddlers in daycare centers or early childhood education settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and infant care best practices
- Experience working with children who have special needs or disabilities is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability in classroom management, behavior guidance, and caregiving techniques for young children
- Certification in first aid, CPR (including pediatric first aid), and child safety procedures is preferred
- Proven skills in parent communication, building trusting relationships with families and caregivers
- Experience working within licensed daycare environments or nannying/babysitting roles involving infant care
