The Subsidy Accounts Receivable (AR) position is responsible for expediting the agency payment process within the childcare assistance program. This role supports all activities related to Subsidy Accounts Receivable, ensuring accurate, timely processing and strong coordination with internal teams and external agencies.
Essential Functions:
- Input agency deposit data into the center management system accurately and timely.
- Communicate with Centers and Coordinators when agency payments are ready for allocation.
- Create, maintain, and reconcile master deposit logs.
- Research agency payments and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Maintain a 48-hour turnaround time for entering agency payments into the center management system.
- File and maintain all required documentation in accordance with company and Subsidy policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Non-Essential Functions:
- Work within established company policies and procedures, as well as Subsidy policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with staff members, other departments, and state agency representatives while maintaining a customer service focus.
Adaptability Requirements:
This position requires a moderate level of adaptability. The incumbent will encounter a variety of issues on a daily basis and is expected to respond appropriately, exercising sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., banking, healthcare, or accounts receivable) preferred.
- Two (2) years of accounts receivable experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in general office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email applications.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation.
- High attention to detail with strong accuracy.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to adapt and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated basic accounting knowledge.
