Primary Purpose
- Provide supervisory leadership to crews in assigned geographic area
- Responsible for the safety and environmental programs, compliance with company procedures and government regulations, development and management of the budgets, employee training and development and overview of administrative functions relevant to the work
- Level commensurate with experience and skill set
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Oversees the operation and maintenance of our assets within the KinderHawk system to ensure their safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
- Ensures the implementation and enforcement of all company guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Responsible for safety program, environmental compliance, governmental compliance, employee training and development, facility security and personnel functions.
- Provide leadership and oversee the planning and direction of activities at multiple locations within the area.
- Manage, plan and forecast the Capital and O&M Budgets for the area of responsibility.
- Participate in the development of O&M procedures, site specific procedures, project scopes and work plans.
- Conduct performance evaluations of direct reports.
- Set the objectives for the preparation of the operating and capital budgets for area of responsibility and reviews the status of the monthly forecasting during the fiscal year.
- Reviews progress, directs changes in priorities and schedules as needed to assure work is completed in an efficient and timely manner.
- Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, regulatory, and Company tariff requirements.
- Develops short and long-term plans, goals and objectives within the Area operations.
- Remains current on developments in the field.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations affecting pipeline operations.
- Ensures current security measures protect company assets while preserving the safety of the general public, customers, and company personnel.
- Identify, report and correct safety and environmental concerns.
- Oversees general pipeline maintenance and DOT compliance activities within the area of responsibility.

What You Need
Education
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of the company policies & procedures and government regulations relevant to pipeline operations.
- Prior supervisory experience; or proven experience in the natural gas industry.
- Possess a valid driver's license and meet company insurability requirements.
- Ability to plan, organize, document, prioritize and complete work efficiently
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage crews at multiple locations and multiple tasks on a daily basis
- Good communications skills
- Strong commitment to safety and have active participation in the safety program
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals)
- Basic computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, various operating systems, and other company software)
- Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, regulatory, and Company tariff requirements.
- Demonstrate performance and leadership toward operational excellence
- Must be able to work with a team, take direction from managers, keep required work schedules, focus attention to details, and follow.
- Must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions.
- Must be able to frequently enter confined spaces, climb to and work from elevated platforms, ladders, excavated areas, walkways, etc.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds in awkward positions, and 50 pounds from floor to waist.
- Field activities may include walking to and amidst work and/or construction sites, climbing in and out of trenches, working around heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
- Must be available for responding to emergency situations 24/7.
- Four year college degree in a technical area.
- Computer skills: Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, And Outlook. Experience with various operation systems and other company specific software; Asset Management Software (Maximo), Incident Management Systems (IMPACT), Learning Management Systems (LMS), etc…
- Participates in the selection/promotion of staff, salary change considerations, disciplinary matters, and conducts performance evaluations.
