Position Description
Key member of a multi-discipline team adding value to the assets through capital reinvestment and application of solid production/operation skills. Working in concert with team reservoir engineers, geologists, production/facility engineers, and field operations to identify, develop, and execute CO2 flood projects for operations in the SACROC or other units, Permian Basin.

Position Requirements
- Experience / Specific Knowledge:
- BSc or higher degree in Engineering required.
- Currently living in, or willing to move to Midland, TX.
- Ability to write workover memos and familiarity with workover rig operations.
- Knowledge in well stimulations (acid and frac designs a plus).
- 5 (or more) years in production engineering w/ emphasis on workover design and execution.
- Design well-work procedures and increase well productivity and reliability.
- Handle engineering assignments of a broad scope and moderate difficulty.
- Maintain producing properties at a maximum economic rate while meeting Texas Railroad Commission requirements.
- Provide technical support to all other work groups.
- Good over-all practical oilfield operations knowledge including workovers in aging well bores.
- CO2 and/or waterflood pattern-management experience.
- Ability to perform both production- and reservoir-engineering tasks for a CO2-flooded field.
- Knowledge of artificial lift (ESP a plus).
- Production surveillance; ability to analyze and monitor waterflood and CO2-flood data and pattern response data.
- Experience in developing technical documents such as AFEs, economic analysis, presentations to management, etc. (written and verbal skills).
- Ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
- Professional Engineer license a plus, but not a requirement.
- Demonstrated initiative and results-oriented team-member skills.
- Good written and verbal skills.
- Good time management skills.
- MS-Office – proficiency with general applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Data management & manipulation capability.
- Honesty and integrity – complies with all regulatory and safety rules.
- Periodic travel to and work in a field setting.

- Working after hours, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed.

- CO2 project exposure.
- Knowledge of geologic concepts.
- High proficiency in DSS, OFM, and Petra.
- Proficient at Economic evaluation using Aries.
- Formation stimulation and remedial cementing expertise.
- Expert level proficiency at Microsoft Excel
