Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L)

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to assist in the delivery of occupational therapy services to patients. This role is essential in helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life through tailored care plans and therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing individualized care plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living (ADLs), and mobility training.
• Document patient progress and response to treatment accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, goals, and home exercise programs.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients during therapy sessions.
• Stay updated on medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and best practices in occupational therapy.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed certification Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Familiarity with outpatient therapy practices is a plus.
• Experience working with pediatric patients is beneficial but not required.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
