Duties
- Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, and hair extensions to meet client preferences and enhance their natural beauty
- Utilize advanced techniques such as straight razor shaves and makeup application to provide comprehensive beauty solutions
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by adhering to all health and safety regulations and salon protocols
- Use salon software like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client management, and upselling services effectively
- Communicate clearly with clients to understand their needs, offer expert advice on hair care products, and build lasting relationships
- Mentor and support junior stylists by sharing techniques, providing constructive feedback, and fostering professional growth
- Manage store operations efficiently by assisting with inventory management and ensuring a smooth client flow
Experience
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a hairstylist or barber with a strong portfolio of work demonstrating versatility in hair styling and coloring
- Extensive knowledge of hair care products, color theory, and application techniques for various hair types
- Hands-on experience with hair extensions installation and maintenance
- Familiarity with salon management software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms for scheduling and client records
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients and understand their unique needs
- Experience mentoring or training junior staff members is highly desirable
- Certification in Cosmetology or Barbering from an accredited institution is required; additional certifications in makeup application or advanced styling are a plus
Pay: $25.50 - $75.00 per hour
