- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social skills development
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and fostering a respectful, inclusive environment for children with diverse needs
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and early learning skills
- Help with classroom organization, including setting up learning stations and maintaining educational materials
- Provide attentive supervision during playtime, snack time, nap time, and other daily routines to ensure safety and well-being
- Collaborate with teachers to adapt instructional strategies for children with special needs or disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum or requiring additional behavioral support
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress and daily experiences to build strong home-school connections
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early education
- Ability to assist with lesson planning across subjects such as literacy education and math fundamentals
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Experience working with children with special needs or disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder or other developmental challenges
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families
- Understanding of curriculum development methods like Montessori or other preschool frameworks
- Ability to work well with diverse populations of children and support inclusive learning environments
