What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist position at Kind Bodies?
We are seeking a skilled Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist to join our team on a contract basis. This role is an on-site role with flexible schedule located in the Bronx, NY.
As a Pelvic Floor PT at Kind Bodies, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with a wide range of pelvic health conditions. Your goal will be to create personalized rehabilitation plans that facilitate progress toward recovery and long-term wellness.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and diagnostic assessments for pelvic health patients.
- Develop and implement evidence-based, personalized therapeutic intervention plans.
- Provide high-quality patient education to empower self-management and recovery.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic, comprehensive care.
- Manage a mix of in-person clinical care and remote/home-based tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT preferred).
- Licensure: Active New York State Physical Therapy license.
- Specialization: Proven expertise in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation specifically for pelvic health. Certification (e.g., Herman & Wallace, WCS, or APTA Pelvic Health) is strongly preferred.
- Clinical Skills: Proficiency in patient care with the ability to build rapport and offer empathetic, trauma-informed support.
- Experience: Previous experience in home care or delivering treatment plans in diverse settings is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
