Duties
- Coordinate and manage funeral arrangements from initial consultation through service delivery, ensuring all client needs are met with compassion and professionalism
- Prepare bodies for viewing and disposition, including cosmetology, dissection when necessary, and adherence to sanitation standards
- Provide bereavement support to families, offering guidance and emotional comfort throughout the funeral planning process
- Oversee the logistics of funeral events, including scheduling, transportation, and setup to ensure seamless execution
- Conduct sales activities related to funeral merchandise and services while maintaining a respectful approach
- Assist with heavy lifting of caskets or equipment as required, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Maintain detailed records of all services provided, including documentation related to anatomy or dissection procedures when applicable
Qualifications
- Valid license as a Funeral Director with appropriate state certification; experience in funeral directing is essential
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assist with body preparation and dissection procedures when needed
- Proven ability to provide empathetic bereavement support and excellent customer service skills
- Experience in event planning to coordinate funeral services efficiently
- Knowledge of sanitation practices relevant to mortuary operations and cosmetology techniques for body preparation

- Sales experience within a service-oriented environment is preferred but not required
