Join our dynamic team at Kin-Tech, a leading precision machining company. We serve the Defense industry, playing a crucial role in producing components that support the Navy Nuclear Propulsion program.
We are currently seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet or exceed the quality standards that our customers have come to expect.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final inspections of precision machined components to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
- Use a variety of measuring tools and inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators, gage pins, thread gages, optical measurement systems, profilometers, CMMs, and other inspection equipment as required
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements per ASME Y14.5
- Develop and maintain customer-required data packages and inspection documentation, including inspection reports, material certifications, and other quality records
- Review manufacturing documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Identify, document, and communicate nonconformances and assist with corrective actions
- Collaborate closely with machinists, programmers, and management to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes
- Support calibration activities and maintain organized inspection records
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that improve quality, inspection efficiency, and process consistency
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in quality or manufacturing preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of dimensional inspection experience, preferably in a precision machining or job shop environment
- Thorough understanding of GD&T per ASME Y14.5
- Proficiency operating programmable CMM equipment
- Experience using a wide variety of precision measuring and inspection equipment
- Strong understanding of machining processes and fundamental manufacturing concepts
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Formal quality training or certifications are preferred
