This is a part-time day-shift position responsible for providing personal care and household assistance to the elderly in two supportive housing facilities: Kin On Assisted Living Facility and Kin On Adult Family Home.

- Provide personal care assistance (PCA) plan services according to the resident's PCA Care Plan.
- Assist residents with personal care, which may include assistance with transfers, ambulation, eating, bathing, toileting, dressing, personal hygiene, meal preparation, light housecleaning.
- Conduct daily activities or assist with special activities that include outings, birthday parties, and special events.
- Perform household services essential to the residents safety and care including; laundry, meal preparations, housekeeping, transportation and shopping.
- Perform only the task defined in the personal care plan for the resident and observe, document and report any changes in the resident condition.
- May assist with medications as indicated in the PCA care plan.
- Report to the Resident Service Manager any changes in the residents' mental or physical condition as well as changes in the residents' need for care.
- Perform daily vital checks and monitoring.
- Qualified staff will be trained as med-techs and nurse delegates in various tasks that might include: putting in eye drops, ear drops, blood glucose checks, insulin injection, ointment application, and pain patch application.
- Follow Assisted Living and / or Adult Family Home policies and procedures.
- Respect the rights of residents, families, or resident's representatives to have different beliefs, opinions, cultures and customs.
- Attend orientation and in-service training as required.
- Maintain a professional attitude in the residence.
- Act as backup to other for vacation and emergency coverage. Duties in this role include assisting with meal service including serving food, cutting foods, opening packages, clearing dishes, scraping plates, and transporting soiled dishes to kitchen.
- Perform other duties as required.
- On the date of hire, hold and have ability to continuous renew while employed the CNA license through the Washington State Board of Nursing.
- Able to pass a background check and fingerprint background check through DSHS.
- Basic computer skills required, including data entry, use of standard office software, and internet navigation, etc.
- A gentle compassionate, empathic personality with clear communication skills desired as population serviced are the elderly.
- Be able to communicate effectively with residents and their families, and report back to supervisor over matter of concern.
- Ability to communicate in Cantonese, Toishanese, Mandarin, in addition to English is highly preferred.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S..
- Pay: $24.00/hour - $30.00/hour depending on experience
