The position is best suited for a mechanically inclined individual who is comfortable working in both healthcare settings and construction environments. Job Title: Medical Equipment Installer & CarpenterJob SummaryThe Medical Equipment Installer & Carpenter is a dual-role position responsible for the professional installation of medical devices and equipment in healthcare facilities. When not engaged in equipment installations, this role performs various carpentry duties to construct, repair, and maintain structures within clinical or office environments. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, excellent carpentry skills, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesMedical Equipment Installation:Install equipment: Deliver, uncrate, assemble, and install a variety of medical equipment such as sterilizers, ultrasonic washers, cart washers and O.R.Lights, according to manufacturer specifications. This includes minor plumbing and electrical work.Prep site: Collaborate with project managers to coordinate installation schedules and verify that utility hookups and space dimensions meet equipment requirements.Carpentry & Construction:Rough and finish carpentry: Perform a variety of carpentry tasks, including dust containment structures, metal stud wall and ceiling framing and backing, installing drywall and drywall finishing and installing access doors.Interpret plans: Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans to execute construction and repair projects accurately.Fabricate components: Measure, cut, and shape metals and other materials to construct or modify fixtures and structures.Conduct repairs: Inspect, repair, and replace damaged structures or fixtures to ensure they are safe and functional.Maintain tools: Ensure all hand tools, power tools, and equipment are maintained in safe and efficient working conditions.General Responsibilities:Safety compliance: Adhere to all company and OSHA safety protocols, especially when working in sensitive healthcare environments.Customer relations: Interact professionally and effectively with clients and other professionals to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.Problem-solving: Troubleshoot and solve issues that arise on-site to ensure project completion within established timelines.QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Technical training in biomedical equipment technology, electronics, or a trade school certification in carpentry is preferred but not required.Experience: Proven experience in both medical equipment installation and carpentry. Experience in a field service or construction environment is highly desirable.Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Skills:Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical manuals and blueprints.Proficient with a wide range of hand and power tools for both carpentry and mechanical work.Excellent problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with hospital staff and other tradespeople.High attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 75 lbs), stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders.CompensationBased on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health insurances, paid time off, and a 401K.

Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
