Overview
Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior Project Manager to expand and lead our Power Delivery practice in Philadelphia.
Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will lead a practice specializing in Power Delivery (transmission, substation, and/or power studies) engineering services.
- This individual will have an entrepreneurial spirit and create a vision for growth for a Power Delivery practice while growing their own projects, clients, and team around them.
- Coordinate or direct development, energy assessment, engineering, or construction activities to ensure that the project needs and objectives are met.
- Leadership responsibilities include:
- Operating with integrity and sound business principles
- Providing vision, business planning, and strategy
- Establishing goals
- Building and maintaining positive client relationships
- Having open communication with your partners and team
- Our Project Managers/Practice Builders manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as positive leaders and mentors.
- The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business.

Qualifications
- 8 years of relevant experience managing Power Delivery and Substation projects
- Familiar with the relevant standards, regulations, and best practices for utilities and energy providers
- Business development and marketing experience including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgeting for projected work
- Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
- Ability to manage & mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
