Senior Electrical Project Manager, Practice Builder - Renewable Energy/ Solar/PV

Overview

Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior Project Manager, Practice Builder to expand our Renewable Energy/ Solar practice in Boca-Delray.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and analysis of complex electrical systems for renewable generation, energy storage, PV, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, building electrical, and battery storage projects
• Responsible for the review and development of design documents and reports, including electrical layouts, equipment schematics and block diagrams, electrical system calculations, and one-line diagrams
• Daily interaction and collaboration on multi-disciplinary teams, with interaction across Kimley-Horn offices
• Prepare project specifications, electrical construction cost estimates, and proposals, supporting the growth of electrical engineering service areas in the local market and across the country
• Leadership responsibilities include:

• Building and maintaining positive client relationships
• Having open communication with your partners and team
• Growing and leading a Renewable Energy practice
• Our Project Managers/Practice Builders manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentor
• The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business

Qualifications

• 8 years of relevant experience managing Electrical projects
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
• Firm understanding of the National Electrical Code, National Electrical Safety Code, IEEE and ANSI Standards
• Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
• Ability to manage and mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
