Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Roadway Engineer with 3 years of experience specializing in municipal roadway projects to join our Pleasanton office. As part of our growing team, you will contribute to the design and development of impactful infrastructure solutions while collaborating with clients and team members to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to the design and production of municipal roadway projects, including road widening, resurfacing, intersection improvements, and multimodal infrastructure.
  • Perform engineering calculations, create plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to meet project goals and deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal standards, including ADA and other roadway requirements.
  • Participate in field reviews and site visits to support design accuracy and project delivery.
  • Provide technical support to junior staff, mentoring and sharing knowledge as part of the team effort.
  • Collaborate with clients to maintain strong relationships and provide exceptional service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license highly preferred but not required (or ability to obtain within 1 year).
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in municipal roadway planning and design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design software.
  • Strong understanding of roadway design standards, including those related to municipalities, Caltrans, and federal requirements.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional client service.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range

$105,000 to $135,000
