Senior Buyer – Manufacturing (On-Site)
Location: Torrance, CA
Salary Range: $80,000 – $90,000
Hours: M–F, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Summary
Seeking a Senior Buyer to manage purchasing, supplier relationships, and materials planning in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on, on-site role supporting production and engineering teams.
Top 3 Must-Haves
- 5 years of purchasing/procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAGE or similar)
- Strong supplier sourcing, negotiation, and inventory management experience
Responsibilities
- Manage RFQs, sourcing, and purchase orders (POs)
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and supplier agreements
- Support demand planning and material requirements (MRP)
- Monitor inventory, maintain safety stock, prevent shortages
- Balance supply/demand to meet production schedules
- Track shipments and expedite deliveries
- Resolve supplier quality and delivery issues
- Build and maintain supplier relationships
Requirements
- Bachelor’s 5 yrs experience OR Associate’s 10 yrs experience
- Manufacturing/high-tech environment experience preferred
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- Must work onsite daily Monday-Friday (not remote or hybrid)
