Position is temp to hire
• Pay range — (19hr or 28hr) depending on experience
• Shift details — Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
JOB SUMMARY
The Machine Operator operates metal fabrication equipment to produce parts to specification, ensuring safety, quality, and production efficiency. The role involves machine setup, operation, basic troubleshooting, and quality checks while following blueprints and production standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate metal fabrication equipment (shear, bender/press brake, RF panel/roll-forming machines)
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders
- Measure, cut, bend, and form metal to required specifications
- Set up, adjust, and perform minor troubleshooting on machines
- Inspect products using measuring tools to ensure quality standards
- Maintain production output while minimizing waste and rework
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic preventative maintenance
- Follow all safety and 6S housekeeping standards
- Support material handling, loading/unloading, and finished goods movement
- Document production data and report issues or defects
- Cross-train on additional machines as needed
REQUIREMENTS
- 2–5 years of metal fabrication or machine operation experience
- Experience with shears, press brakes/benders, and RF panel/roll-forming machines
- Ability to read blueprints and work orders accurately
- Strong understanding of measurements, tolerances, and basic math
- Mechanical aptitude for minor troubleshooting and adjustments
- Ability to lift 10–100 lbs and stand for long periods
PREFERRED
- RF panel or roofing/metal manufacturing experience
- Forklift certification and equipment operation experience
- Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office or production systems)
- Experience in fast-paced or startup manufacturing environments
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
- Forklift certification
- Valid driver’s license
