This top notch growing company is currently looking for a TEMPORARY Facilities Technician to join their team!
Summary
Maintain facility cleanliness, waste management systems, and building equipment to support daily operations. Perform preventative maintenance, basic repairs, and assist with facility improvement projects.
Pay: $20.00 (D.O.E)
Essential Duties
- Maintain trash compactor, recycling bins, and schedule pickups as needed.
- Keep alleyways, walkways, and facility grounds clean using floor sweepers and other equipment.
- Support general facility maintenance, including lighting, plumbing, ventilation, doors, docks, and building systems.
- Monitor and maintain equipment such as air compressors, cooling towers, water treatment systems, and facility fans.
- Perform basic mechanical repairs, fabrication, welding, and installation of pipes, valves, and related components.
- Troubleshoot equipment and assist with preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other maintenance equipment safely.
- Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Assist with installation of new equipment and other maintenance projects as assigned.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of facility or industrial maintenance experience, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Basic mechanical aptitude with willingness to learn electrical, plumbing, and other maintenance skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Reliable attendance and commitment to workplace safety.
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug test.
Preferred Qualifications
- Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read mechanical and basic electrical drawings or schematics.
- Basic electrical knowledge (single and three-phase systems up to 480V).
- Experience with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Knowledge of mechanical components such as motors, bearings, valves, and gearboxes.
- Forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and perform repetitive hand movements throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
- Ability to work around manufacturing equipment, at heights, in varying environmental conditions, and safely use required PPE.
