Full-Time Perishable Receiver and Stocker

Description

Kimberton Whole Foods in Collegeville is seeking a dedicated, full-time Perishable Receiver and Stocker to become a vital part of our team!

Availability: Full-time, 40 hours per week. One weekend shift is required weekly

Set Schedule: 6:30am - 3pm, Tuesday through Saturday workweek.

Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older.

Hourly Pay: $17-19/hour

Perishable Receiver And Stocker’s Primary Responsibilities

• Providing excellent service to all, including customers, team members, and delivery drivers.
• Unloading and organizing incoming deliveries in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintains organized, accessible storage by securely stacking, labeling, and consolidating items, while planning for efficient deliveries
• Ensures accurate piece counts, notes shipping and receiving errors, and requests supplier credits
• Checks packaging for damages, ensures proper storage and rotation, and promptly addresses out-of-stock items.
• Keeps returns well-organized and ensures pick up at next delivery
• Maintains quick pace and adjusts pace to volume. Takes initiative to find projects when tasks are completed
• Lifts carefully, handles equipment responsibly, and promptly cleans up spills and other hazards to ensure safety.
• Stocks and handles product following guidelines for time and temperature demands
• Rotates back stock on a first-in first-out basis
• Works in collaboration with the team lead to maintain accurate and up-to-date product signage throughout the department
• Follows the established practices for maintaining abundant, dynamic, and fresh displays
• Adheres to KWF inventory management practices
• Assists in other store operations as needed.
  
  

Requirements

Physical Capabilities

• Full sense range (vision, hearing and sense of smell) – the ability to read product labels, distinguish color & smell for quality control as well as the ability to communicate with the customers and co-workers.
• Lifting, gripping and carrying objects – up to 50-75 pounds frequently, including boxes, cans, tools and other products.
• Stooping, squatting, & kneeling – stoop and maneuver to pick up boxes from shelving and carts.
• Walking – short distances to bring items from miscellaneous areas.
• Standing- prolonged standing.
• Work environment – movement based with the majority of time being in motion (walking & standing) rather that sedentary (sitting).
• Climate – ability to work in cold environments (cooler, Freezer, back stock area) and handle cold products for extended periods of time on a regular basis.
