What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cafe Associate, Part-time position at Kimbell Art Museum?
Kimbell Art Museum seeking outgoing individuals to work in the Kimbell Café.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Friendly customer service interactions with the Café visitors.
- Will learn basic knowledge of food preparation, customer service, and hospitality as well as problem-solving skills.
- Help maintain a clean workspace and use safe food handling techniques.
- Assist with clearing guest tables and dishwashing duties, as needed.
- May assist with weekend catering events, if necessary.

- May be scheduled up to 29 hours per week. Daily schedule may include Tuesdays through Sundays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with some flexibility allowed. No Mondays.
- Must have a positive attitude and enjoy interacting with the public.
- Prior basic knowledge of food preparation, a plus.
- Physical demands of the job include but are not limited to:
- Standing and walking during entire your shift
- Reaches, bends, stoops, lifts, shakes, stirs, pours and carries supplies
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight on a semi regular basis
- Completion of background and drug screening authorization form required.
- Must be at least 16 years old to apply.
