Experienced Plumber - Nashville, TN

Purpose:

The Experienced Plumber is responsible for independently managing the installation, repair, maintenance, and inspection of plumbing systems, including water, gas, and drainage lines. Work must adhere to applicable building codes (Metropolitan Nashville Plumbing Code) and project specifications. This role also includes providing on-site direction and training to apprentice plumbers with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead plumbing projects, coordinate work crews, and provide mentorship to apprentices

• Install, diagnose, and maintain plumbing systems while ensuring compliance with all safety and code standards

• Identify potential safety issues and take corrective action to maintain a safe job site

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans; follow direction from supervisors and contractors

• Prepare and complete required quality assurance documentation

• Utilize sound decision-making skills to resolve on-site challenges without compromising quality or timelines

Qualifications:

• At least 4 years of practical plumbing experience OR Active Journeyman or Master Plumbing License valid in Davidson County / Metro Nashville, TN (issued by Metropolitan Nashville / Davidson County or State of Tennessee Licensing Board) 

• Valid driver's license in good standing

• Strong accuracy, organization, and attention to detail

• Collaborative attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Must successfully complete a DOT physical and pass a pre-employment drug test

Core Physical Requirements:

• Lifting/Carrying: Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry objects up to 50–75 lbs independently.

• Mobility: Capacity for climbing ladders, crawling in tight spaces (attics/crawlspaces), and kneeling for extended periods.

• Dexterity: Strong hand-eye coordination for precision work with small tools and components.

• Stamina: Ability to stand/walk for 8–12 hour shifts in varying weather or non-climate-controlled environments.
