What You’ll Do
- Develop, maintain, and manage strong supplier relationships that ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
- Monitor and forecast inventory requirements to align purchasing decisions with operational needs
- Source, negotiate, and secure favorable terms on parts, materials, and equipment
- Oversee the purchase order process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with negotiated agreements
- Track and evaluate supplier performance; identify and resolve issues to maintain high standards
- Research emerging products, materials, and technologies to strengthen our competitive edge
- Partner closely with internal teams (operations, sales, and service) to support company-wide goals
What We’re Looking For
- Proven purchasing/procurement experience (manufacturing, distribution, or heavy equipment industry preferred)
- Experience in vendor management, sourcing strategies, and contract negotiation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP system experience is highly desirable
- Strong analytical ability to forecast needs, evaluate cost drivers, and manage budgets
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A self-starter who can work independently yet thrives in a team-oriented environment
- Leadership potential or prior experience at a manager level is a plus
