POSITION SUMMARY
We’re looking for a skilled individual with experience operating and programming 3-axis milling centers. This role involves translating 3D models, engineering drawings, and other references into production-ready CNC programs. The right candidate can interpret sketches and instructions to determine the most efficient machining process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create CNC programs for 3-axis machines using MASTERCAM CAM software
- Work with a variety of materials including aluminum, steel, and plastics
- Ensure programs are optimized for efficiency, performance, and tool life
- Prepare programs and documentation before parts are scheduled for machining
- Accurately interpret and produce mechanical drawings, including views, sections, and detailed notes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company policies
- Use precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, depth gauges) confidently.
REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in CNC programming and/or machining
- Proficiency in MASTERCAM is essential
- In-depth understanding of machining processes and shop tools
- Dependable, with a strong sense of accountability and work ethic
- Ability to create and interpret detailed technical drawings and apply geometric tolerancing
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well with others and preform assigned tasks
- Committed to ongoing improvement and operational efficiency
- Capable of standing, walking, kneeling, and climbing as needed
- Regular lifting of up to 30 lbs;

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Climate-controlled shop year-round
- Occasional weekend work based on production needs
- Exposure to machinery, airborne particles, moderate noise, and occasional fumes
- Some exposure to vibration, electricity, and chemicals (non-hazardous) may occur
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in CNC programming and/or machining.
- At least 5 years’ experience with MASTERCAM is a must.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and apply GD&T principles.
- Skilled in using precision measurement tools
- Solid understanding of cutting tools, feeds/speeds, and machine capabilities.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Available to work overtime and weekends, if needed.
- Must be a U.S. Person per ITAR guidelines (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident).
