Southlake automation company is seeking an Electrical Controls Panel Shop Technician/Assembler for an UL Certified panel shop in the Southlake area.
Basic Requirements
- Can complete assigned tasks accurately and within the timeframe allowed.
- Be flexible with working hours to allow for occasional overtime if the job schedule requires it.
- Must be self-motivated and flexible to work well under tight schedules in a team environment.
- Can lift a minimum of 50 pounds as well as be able to stand.
- Ability to climb and use ladders.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
Job Requirements
- Must have a thorough working knowledge of all hand and power tools including Voltmeters, Continuity checker, basic hand tools, power tools and taps and drills.
- Comfortable with the safe use of hand tools for cutting, stripping, drilling, and punching of holes in steel cabinets and/or control enclosures.
- Can read and understand electrical drawings
- Possess basic computer skills.
- Solid problem-solving skills.
- Must have Valid Driver's License
- Pass Pre-employment and Random Drug Screens
Job Details
- Build and assemble electrical control panels and doors. Cut, prep, and terminate control wiring connections.
- Wire all control type components, terminals, relays, meters, contacts, breakers, switches, terminal/shorting blocks, lights, etc.
- Verify components with the bill of materials to ensure accuracy.
- Install electrical components per assembly drawings.
- Operate a computer terminal to look up drawings and diagrams.
- Wear appropriate safety gear at all times.
- Layout panels and mount devices using various methods.
- Measures, uses tools, interprets visual aids, and performs simple shop math.
- Wire panels in accordance with provided point to point diagrams.
- Report all design or material discrepancies to your supervisor immediately upon identification.
- Assist other departments as required.
- Can be trained on forklifts.
- Follow quality control procedures and communicate with other departments as required.
- Correctly complete all relevant paperwork and follow deadlines.
- Assist in post construction QC inspections to ensure quality of product prior to release.
- Run seal-tight / rigid conduit and terminate wires from panel to control valves.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
