The Texarkana Arkansas School District is accepting applications for an instructional facilitator/magnet coach (220-day contract) for the 2026-2027 school year at Kilpatrick Elementary School.
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Instructional Facilitator/Campus Magnet Coach at Kilpatrick Elementary will assist in the implementation of a First Responders Academy, focused on careers in law enforcement, emergency medical response, and fire service assistance. These three focus areas will expose students to curriculum and real-world experiences related to the work of first responders and other medical personnel. This individual will work closely with Texarkana businesses and higher education communities to leverage expertise and partnerships that will enhance students’ exploration in these service areas through project-based learning and hands-on experiences. He/she will facilitate continuous improvement in classroom instruction by providing instructional support to teachers in the elements of PBL as well as the incorporation of technology into instruction.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must pass a national criminal background check and a background check through the Arkansas Child Maltreatment Central registry
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness
Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data
Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
Calm and patient demeanor with students and others
Experience:
Three or more years experience as a classroom teacher.
Two years experience in instructional leadership role.
The Board may find appropriate and acceptable alternatives to the above qualifications.
