What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host/Hostess position at Kiln Creek Golf Club and Resort?
Job Summary:Responsible for greeting guests at the door, seats guests in appropriate area of restaurant/bar. Presents menus to guests in a friendly, professional and quick manner and informs guests of daily specials.Principal Duties/Tasks:Greet all guests in a pleasant and timely manner.Ensure that work stations are stocked/filled before and after every shift.Advise supervisor of any member/guest complaints.Attend all meetings/training sessions requested by the supervisor.Keep all Food and Beverage areas clean at all times and assist with up-keep of all equipment.Serve food and beverage items that meet the standards, as outlined by the menus and health regulation.Maintain responsibility for all guest checks and turn them into your supervisor or designated area.Handle any problem that might arise both courteously and professionally.Set-up and break down tables, chairs, theme decorations and other equipment as requested.Operate within all guidelines, policies and standards.Ensure complete guest satisfaction from start to finish. Perform all duties necessary before and after breakfast/lunch/dinner service in accordance with Kiln Creek Golf Club & Resort's policy's and standards.Physical Skills: Squatting, bending, kneeling is required. Carrying weight that exceed 25 lbs. with one arm and many duties that require carrying weight of 50 lbs. scrubbing walls/floors, walking and standing for periods of 6 hours or more per shift. Working Conditions:Work primarily indoors in a bar/lounge/restaurant environment. Exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement hazards, sharp utensils, extremely hot stoves, grills and food items, and dangerous chemicals/solvents if proper safety procedures are not followed. Village of Kiln Creek Owners Association is a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol facility. All candidates are subject to drug and alcohol testing. A valid driver's license and social security card must be presented.
