Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a fast-paced dining environment. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that guests have a memorable experience. Your ability to upsell menu items and maintain a positive atmosphere will be key to your success in this role.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide them with menus
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using Toast POS systems
- Deliver food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal and address any concerns promptly
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring sanitation standards are met
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including basic math for payments and change
- Assist with guest relations by providing information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is required
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently
- Excellent communication skills for effective guest interaction
- Experience in bussing or host/host roles is beneficial
- Ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining individual accountability
