Winter 2022/2023: Junior Snow Sport Instructors (ages 14-15)

• Compensation:Starting pay rate of $16.50, actual wage will be adjusted based on experience.
• Benefits: This is a part-time, seasonal position eligible for a season pass for employee/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc) also available.

Job Summary: Share your passion for skiing/riding and the mountain environment with others. The Killington/Pico Snow Sports School has positions open at all levels. We are looking for instructors to join our team! We have full time, part time, and temp positions open for instructor candidates with or without previous experience. Join us as we inspire the next generation of snow sports enthusiasts. Positions available at both Killington and Pico locations.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

• Work together with Snow Sports supervisors and team leads to organize classes and students according to individual student goals and abilities
• Teach and demonstrate skiing/riding to classes of all abilities in a safe environment using a variety of teaching and ski/ride techniques
• Demonstrate specific skiing maneuvers, including loading, and unloading lifts
• Provide exceptional guest service while maintaining safety as a priority at all times.
• Work collaboratively with fellow staff and independently with groups or individual students
• Work in a variety of support roles and be willing to perform duties occasionally in other departments, such as rentals or lifts, as needed

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be at least 16 years of age & have passion for sharing the mountain experience
• Be able to ski/ride at an intermediate level or above
• Must be willing to work with all ages including children ages 4 and up.

• Strong communication as well as interpersonal skills
• Ability to ski/snowboard, demonstrating maneuvers to students throughout the duration of a lesson for up to 6 hours per day required
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Experience working with children is preferred but not required
• Outdoor related experience preferred but not required
