Full-Time * Monday–Friday * Ames, Iowa
Join our team as a full-time Quality Technician at our second-generation, family-owned flexible packaging company.
Our Quality Team plays a key role in making sure every product that leaves our building meets our standards and our customers’ expectations.
What You’ll Do
- Perform regular inspections and tests on in-process and finished products
- Use measuring tools (tape measure, micrometers, etc.) to verify accuracy and quality
- Document inspection results by completing reports, logs, and data entry
- Identify and report non-conforming product and assist operators in correcting issues
- Support root cause analysis and help implement corrective and preventive actions
- Communicate quality findings to production teams and leadership teams
What We’re Looking For
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Quality control or quality assurance experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and basic computer systems
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and other measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to speak up when something doesn’t look right
Bonus Points For
- Experience as a Quality Technician in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of quality standards or systems (e.g., SQF, HACCP/HARPC, ISO, GMPs)
- Experience in flexible packaging or printing
