What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aide, Resource position at Kilgore Middle School?
Primary Purpose:
Assist the classroom teacher in meeting the physical and instructional needs of students in the general and/or special education setting. Assist in the implementation of classroom programs, including self-help, behavior management, and instruction programs. Work under general supervision of principal and immediate direction of certified teacher.
Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma / GED required
- Valid Texas educational aide certificate *District will assist to obtain
- CPI (Crisis Prevention/Intervention) certification *District will assist to obtain
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well with children
General knowledge of office equipment related to classroom instruction preparation
Salary : $12 - $14
