Position Details:
The Part-Time EMS Instructor provides instructional support for Emergency Medical Services programs. This position delivers classroom, laboratory, and/or clinical instruction in accordance with program policies, accreditation standards, and applicable state and national EMS requirements.
Responsibilities:- Deliver didactic, laboratory, and/or clinical instruction for EMS courses.
- Evaluate student performance and maintain required academic and skills documentation.
- Comply with program, college, and accreditation policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned
- Certificates and/or degrees relevant to Emergency Medical Services education.
- Current Texas DSHS EMS certification at or above the level being taught and relevant field experience.
- DSHS Instructor certification.
- Ability to work collaboratively with program faculty and staff.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/classroom environment.
- No or very limited physical effort required; however, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
- No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
- Provide resources for safe operation of units. Create and support workplace safety.
- Pay is commensurate with education and experience.
