Description:The Accounting Shared Services Manager oversees the general accounting functions related to Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Billing to customer and Cash/Treasury activities. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in transactional accounting while leading a team responsible for financial processes. Role and Responsibilities · Supervise AR, AP, Billing clerk and Cash/Treasury operations in compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations.· Ensure timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations.· Support external audits by preparing financial statements and required documentation.· Review budget reports and assist departments with annual budget preparation.· Coordinate the preparation and submission of the corporate tax return.· Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.· Generate and analyze financial reports to provide key insights to leadership.· Perform additional duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities· Directly supervises 3-5 team members within the accounting shared services function.· Provides mentorship, training, and performance feedback to the team.· Establish best practices for process efficiency and continuous improvement.Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.· 5 years of experience in AR/AP, cash reconciliations, and financial reporting, with prior supervisory experience.· Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial controls.· Excellent analytical skills to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.· Customer service mindset with the ability to resolve issues efficiently.· Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools, with experience tracking KPIs.· Strong organizational skills, able to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.· Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.· Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities.· General office environment with periodic exposure to manufacturing/production areas.· Prolonged periods of sitting, using a computer, and handling financial data. · Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.· Moderate noise levels, with occasional exposure to louder production areas.Core Competencies· Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and develop effective solutions.· Communication: Clearly convey financial insights and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.· Accounting & Financial Acumen: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and cash management.· Mathematical Proficiency: Strong skills in arithmetic, statistics, and financial calculations.· Process Improvement: Ability to identify inefficiencies and implement best practices to optimize workflow.· Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and ability to ensure compliance in all accounting functions.Work Environment and Physical Requirements· General office environment with periodic exposure to manufacturing/production areas.· Prolonged periods of sitting, using a computer, and handling financial data.· Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.· Moderate noise levels, with occasional exposure to louder production areas.Requirements:
