This position is responsible for analyzing, planning, and executing inventory and logistics activities to support business goals, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. The analyst partners cross-functionally with operations, production, procurement, and third-party logistics providers to maintain accurate inventory, optimize transfers, and drive continuous improvement in supply chain performance.
Role And Responsibilities
Inventory & Order Management
- Monitor, analyze, and maintain appropriate inventory levels at company facilities and 3PL warehouses.
- Ensure inventory accuracy between internal systems and external partners, reconciling discrepancies proactively.
- Execute the order entry process ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate and maintain daily transfer schedules to ensure product availability for customers
- Partner with 3PL providers to ensure efficient movement of goods and fulfillment of customer orders.
- Identify and communicate potential order fulfillment gaps, developing corrective action plans with internal stakeholders.
- Support transportation planning and scheduling as needed.
- Develop and maintain reporting on key supply chain metrics (e.g., inventory turns, service levels accuracy).
- Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making and supply chain optimization.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis and recommend solutions.
- Work closely with production, procurement, sales, and operations teams to align supply and demand.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve accuracy, and enhance service.
- Assist in system/process implementations (ERP, WMS, TMS) to strengthen supply chain efficiency.
- Ensure all activities align with SQF, USDA, and company food safety/quality standards.
- Report any food safety or regulatory concerns promptly to leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management or related field preferred.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory management or related discipline.
- Experience in food, CPG or manufacturing environment highly desirable.
- Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems (Syspro and Translution experience a plus).
- Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
