Kiku Asian Bistro is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier to support daily restaurant operations. This role involves welcoming guests, taking orders, processing payments, answering basic menu questions, and helping maintain an organized front-of-house area. Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service
- Take customer food and beverage orders accurately
- Operate the POS system and process cash and card payments
- Answer general questions about menu items and restaurant services
- Confirm order details and communicate special requests to the kitchen team
- Provide receipts and organize completed orders for dine-in, pickup, or takeout
- Keep the register, counter, and guest-facing areas clean and organized
- Restock bags, containers, napkins, utensils, and other service supplies
- Assist coworkers with customer service and order flow during busy periods
- Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and restaurant procedures
- Support routine opening and closing duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous cashier, restaurant, café, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful
- Friendly, respectful, and professional approach to customer service
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Good attention to detail when handling orders and transactions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
