A day in your role

At 7:00 a.m., you power up the plant with pre-shift checks, inspecting conveyors, palletizers, wrapping machines, and associated systems. You work through scheduled preventive maintenance, locking out and tagging out equipment, lubricating bearings and gears, and verifying that hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems are operating to spec. Mid-morning, you respond to a call—diagnose a VFD alarm, replace a worn component, and bring the line back safely. In the afternoon, you guide a product changeover, configuring the dilution system to target specifications, then close the day by updating records and briefing the Production and Plant Managers on equipment status and any follow-ups.

Role snapshot

• Plan and execute routine preventive maintenance and service on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues; identify, remove, and replace defective parts.
• Inspect, monitor, and function-test machinery to validate performance.
• Dismantle equipment safely and install rebuilt or new components.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and related assemblies.
• Fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain piping, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and associated hardware.
• Develop a working mastery of production machinery to ensure reliable operation.
• Perform quick, accurate line changeovers and set dilution systems to the proper specifications.
• Escalate equipment concerns to the Production Manager and Plant Manager; collaborate to analyze and resolve problems promptly.
• Follow all safety procedures, including LOTO, and maintain excellent housekeeping.
• Support additional tasks as assigned.

Schedule, pay, and bonus

1st shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. with overtime as needed. Compensation is $30–$32/hour DOE plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

What you bring

• High School Diploma or GED (required); technical certification preferred.
• 2 years maintaining, repairing, and installing industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with farming equipment and/or automotive repair is a plus.
