Your Mission
On 2nd shift, Monday–Friday (4:00pm - 2:30pm, OT as needed), you’ll own equipment readiness. Imagine walking in, reviewing the production plan, and:
- Configuring equipment so the scheduled run starts on time and at target rates.
- Huddling with operators to pinpoint symptoms, then zeroing in on root causes—mechanical, electrical, or motor-related.
- Executing fast, safe repairs and major overhauls when needed to restore peak performance.
- Recording changes, referencing manuals, and building a knowledge trail that makes every future setup smoother.
- Carrying out PMs, proposing design tweaks, and implementing approved modifications.
- Working by the book—following SOPs, safety protocols, and GMP standards.
- Backing up teammates across shifts; operating independently and as part of a tight-knit crew.
- Taking on other duties as assigned as the plant’s needs evolve.
- 4 years in mechanical maintenance within high-speed packaging/manufacturing; food industry experience strongly preferred.
- Associate’s in electronics or an Electrical Diploma/Certificate with 3 years’ experience; or 5 years of directly related experience.
- Skilled communicator who’s detail-focused and customer-oriented.
- Solid grasp of preventive maintenance methodologies.
- Flexibility for shift work (days, afternoons, nights) when needed.
- Strong problem-solver who thrives amid rapid change.
- Deep knowledge of Health & Safety and Lockout procedures.
- CMMS familiarity is a plus.
