Kiersey & McMillan, Inc. is a growing Commercial Property Management company located in the Portland metropolitan area. We are looking to add additional staff to help with our growing business. The Commercial Property Manager position reports directly to the President of the company, while working in a very collaborative environment.
Property Managers are responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of a mixed portfolio of office, retail, and warehouse spaces.
This is a multi-function job that includes commercial property management of office, industrial, and retail properties. This position also includes the opportunity to become a licensed commercial property manager.
- Property Management Duties will involve providing top quality property management of commercial properties in the position of Commercial Property Manager. Employee shall be assigned a set of properties to provide services for. Services shall include:
- Scheduling and oversight of maintenance projects.
- Tenant contact for lease fulfillment (rent, maintenance, etc…).
- Touring and inspection of properties.
- Preparing annual budgets and Operating Expense Reconciliations
- Perform general office functions as needed.
- Updating and monitoring of Certificates of Insurance.
- Answering business phone calls.
- Assisting other employees with other properties as needed.
- Along with other employees, representing K&M in proposals for new property management opportunities.
- Occasional handling of off hours property emergencies and monitoring of “off hours” phone calls.
- Forty hours of work is expected each week with employee setting the work hours with employer’s prior approval. The company office hours are considered approximately 8am-5pm, M-F.
- Back up coverage for other employee’s vacations.
- Employee to become a fully licensed Real Estate Broker in the state of Oregon. This includes studying for, taking and passing the State of Oregon Real Estate license exam. Initial licensing shall be paid by Employer if needed.
- Necessary Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel), Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with AppFolio is beneficial
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve computer problems
- Positive and professional appearance and attitude
- Excellent communication skills; reading, writing and verbal
- Active Driver’s license with no restrictions
- Efficient Use of time and ability to handle multiple tasks
- Four year college degree (Business/Finance) preferred or relevant experience
- Ability to be bonded for insurance purposes
